MYB COVID-19 Policies and Best Practices

• Due to COVID-19, class sizes will adhere to the capacity of our facility.
• Students must be dropped off and picked up at the main entrance for classes and rehearsals. Plan to arrive promptly, but no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled class time. One caregiver may accompany each child in our pre-school classes (Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet and Intro. to Ballet and Tap). Please do not bring additional family members into the studio if at all possible.
• Students and staff may not enter the premises if they have a fever or are feeling unwell.
• If a student falls ill, we offer the opportunity to make up classes during any regularly scheduled, age and level-appropriate class. In the event of extended illness, a credit for missed classes will be added to your account to use at another time.
• Students and staff should wash hands or use hand sanitizer upon to entering the dance studio. Frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer is encouraged.
• The lobby and costume storage areas are open to students and parents on an as-needed basis. Our lobby is small and during class transitions  can become crowded.  Please drop off and pick up dancers unless they need adult support while they are in class.
• As of 2/26/22, based on the most recent CDC guidance and the continued improvement of transmission, masks are no longer required in the studio.  Anyone who wishes to continue wearing a face covering is respected and should do what makes them most comfortable.  The well-being of our students and staff is our number one priority.  Should the situation change, the safety of our constituents will dictate the future measures we will take to keep everyone dancing in a safe way.
• Students who need to remain home may contact us to discuss virtual class options.
• Teachers will once again apply strategies that incorporate hands-on corrections. Our staff is diligent about hand washing and sanitizing, however, should you prefer us to refrain from hands on corrections, please let us know.
• All high-touch surfaces will be sanitized between classes/each new group of students. Marley floors will be mopped frequently. All studio spaces and common areas will be sanitized daily, mopped weekly and all areas cleaned additionally, as needed.
